Messengex Database Connectivity

The Messengex Premium Business Edition features Database Connectivity, which enables you to send customized information to customers, extracted from your accounting or inventory software, such as:
“Dear Mr Tony, Your payment of $429 is overdue. Please pay by 12/11/2003”

• The Messengex Database Connectivity can connect to most databases, ranging from Oracle to Microsoft Sql Server to file-based databases like MS Access and DBase, in fact, any database that provides an ODBC connection.
• The data is retrieved from the database at specified schedules, with distinct schedules for separate tasks. Thus, you can send transaction information at the end of every day, and payment reminders at the end of every month.
• Information from the database is embedded into the provided templates, to create a custom message for every customer.
• Mobile phone numbers and names present in the database can be used.
• Extracts data from multiple tables, and even multiple databases to create messages. Key values, like bank balances, can be extracted from large databases, with other parameters, like mobile phone numbers, from secondary databases.
• Customizable Result Language (CRL) performs string evaluation to place, say, ’Dear Customer’, if the customer name field is found blank.
• Flexible subtask-based architecture provides facilities to update status of source databases regarding messaging, or to maintain log of operations in other tables or databases.
• Incoming messages can be saved into the database, and/or can be set to automatically respond with a reply message.
• Incoming status reports (receipts) can update the originating record in the database.
